LOCAL CHURCHES LAUNCH HOPE SOUTH FLORIDA,
BRINGING SERVICES AND ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL

HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES

In a first-of-its-kind collaboration in Broward County, large churches from a variety of denominations have launched Hope South Florida, an initiative to provide hands-on help to Broward County's homeless population in partnership with The Shepherd’s Way. The goal is to raise $5 million in resources and engage tens of thousands of trained volunteers over the next few years to support a comprehensive plan to not only bring hope to the homeless, but also lead homeless people to self-sufficiency. Hope South Florida is a holistic Christian response to homelessness that was inspired by the City of Fort Lauderdale leadership’s efforts to address the growing numbers of homeless persons frequenting the downtown area. The CCFSF is a convener and catalyst for Hope South Florida as part of its mission to transform our community and raise the tide of generosity. Visit www.hopesouthflorida.org to learn more about how you and your church can get involved.
